LETTING GO
In a worldly mind set, where everything we have is gained by strife and hard work, and emphasis of success is placed on what we own, Letting Go of possessions does not come easy.Where people find comfort in friendships and finding a true friend whom we can truly relate with, Letting Go of people who have become idols in our lives, does not come easy.
When you have brought up children, and they now turn to their friends rather than spend time with you, Letting Go of your loved ones is not easy.
When you are entitled to privileges and incentives, but you have been overlooked, the pain of Letting Go is not easy.
When you have lived with a spouse and have shared intimate relationship for years and now the spouse have died, Letting Go of the person is not easy.
When the person you are going out with is not the right partner for you, Letting Go of that relationship is not easy.
In a biblical perspective, we can take the example of Abraham having to sacrifice Isaac. That which was a fulfillment of God’s promise, had to be released. Does God challenge us each time to let go so that we can prove our love for Him? I do not feel that is the reason for letting go.
I feel Father knows what is best and He wants us to stay in His will. Letting go is not to prove our love, but it is obedience to the guidance of Father who knows what is best for us. That in the midst of the pain, we can still trust God for the fulfillment of His will for our lives. He wants the best for us, not the second best. Can we trust Him? Can we let go when we are challenged to?
We can still go our own way, as He will never impose His will on us, but we have to take responsibility when things go wrong, and not blame Him for the choices we have made. In this place of testing, we either move on higher in Him or come to a place of resentment, anger and rebellion and blame God for not coming through for us.
We can also let go of years of built up resentment, anger and hurts that have stifled our growth. Ultimately, letting go is a choice. I believe when we let go of our own ways, we are in a better position to see things through His perspective and move on.
We may feel at that moment that it is painful, difficult and heartbreaking, but God is able to pull us through and this would be a season of strengthening our walk with Him, that above all, no matter what the circumstance, we will still cling on to Him.

Hi hi Bun
This is a beautiful article indeed :) Letting go and surrendering one's life to God completely is not easy at all as we rather be in control, in the driver's seat 100% of the time...
We fail to see that being in the passenger seat is actually a pleasure... for example, one can even rest or sleep while someone else is driving and we still get to our destination...
After all, if we can trust a friend or even a taxi driver to get us to wherever we want to go...
What more with God Almighty in the driver's seat. Let go and Let God...
"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
- Isaiah 40:31
As we come to the close of another year...
Lets Take a Moment
to free ourselves from our daily preoccupation, cares and concerns
to break free from our hectic lifestyles and demands of life
to give ourselves the much needed space
to reflect, rejuvenate and renew ourselves
the much needed rest for our mind, body and spirit
to find hope and meaning to life
to find meaning to our existence
beyond passing by in life
to search deep within our hearts
to look beyond ourselves
to look at people around us,
family, friends and loved ones,
people whom we have forgotten
people who need us and in despair
to look at things around us
situations that confronts us
events beyond our control,
the changes that we want
such is the time and moment
to find ourselves again,
to find God in all things,
to rekindle our hearts,
to fill our hearts and homes
with hope, peace, joy and love.
to give thanks to God
for His love and blessings
to share His love and blessings with others
to make a difference with our presence
to be His hope and shining light.
With much love and God's blessings, Bun :)

I read and read again and again..this passage...to get the glimpse of Letting Go...the key is to OBEY AND TRUST GOD without knowing our destination For ONLY GOD would know the BEST for us. Easier said than do the above. To Have FAITH, HOPE IN ALL MAINLY HAVING THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS INDEED ENOUGH!
OOH LORD! HELP US GIVE US STRENGTH TO BE IN LINE OF YOUR WILL I PRAY !
