SOARING ON HIS THOUGHTS
How does God the Divine Eagle push us out of the nest of the accustomed to experience the adventurous? He does it first by dropping a powerful idea into our minds. Today, hundreds of thoughts will flow through your mind. Many of them will arise from your subconscious. Some will come from Satan. Others will come from God. The thoughts that come from God are sometimes so challenging that we ignore them.
Many years ago I heard a man say: “The secret of success in doing something for God is to find a need and then set out to meet it.” I pondered this for a while and then one day there came into mind the idea that I ought to write some daily thoughts for those Christians who wanted to meet God at the point of the devotional and not simply at the point of the analytical. But I remembered what a tutor had told me in college. “Stick to preaching and teaching,” he said. “You will never make a writer.” But despite this negative thought in my mind, I allowed the thought that had come from God to soar, and as it did the idea for Every Day with Jesus was born. Now millions of words later, I look back and wonder what would have happened if I had not allowed that thought to soar in my mind and then move forward into action.
Today God may drop into your mind a beautiful new thought or idea on how you can minister to someone’s need. Don’t crush it, resist it or ignore it. Let it soar!
Prayer:
O Father, bring me to such maturity that I will be able to recognize immediately the gentle nudges You are giving me to greater service and ministry through the thoughts and ideas You drop into my mind. In all that I put my hands on, give me Your ideas and ways that I may bring glory to You. Begin today, dear Lord. Amen.

Hi Peoples,
Don’t underestimate what He drops into your spirit daily through thoughts. Sometimes, we may be “stuck” not knowing what to do, our minds go blank then suddenly an idea just comes unexpectedly.
Some thoughts are clearly ideas that will help in a certain situation. Some thoughts have to be weighed, evaluated and analyzed to see whether it has really come from God. Don’t push a thought away just because it is too challenging. Welcome it. Ask yourself: “Is this what God is saying to me?”
Just like what Selwyn Huges said, “What would have happened if I had not allowed that thought to soar in my mind and then move forward into action?” Many opportunities have been missed because we have taken these thoughts lightly, or we have allowed others to crush them by their remarks, or either because it seemed too impossible for us and we underestimate what God can do in and through us.
