PRICELESS

"Place me like a seal over your heart, or like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, and its jealousy is as induring as the grave. Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame. Many waters cannot quench love; neither can rivers drown it. If a man tried to buy love with everything he owned, his offer would be utterly despised." (NLT, Sos 8:6-7)

If you wanna know about love......read Songs of Solomon...i really like the words that are used there...so deep, so profound, so expressive!

"Love is as strong as death," it cannot be killed by time or disaster, and it cannot be bought for any price because it is freely given. Love is priceless, and even the richest king cannot buy it. Love must be accepted as a gift from God and then shared within the guidelines God provides. Accept the love of others as God's gift, and strive to make your love a reflection of the perfect love that comes from God himself."

Okie, not sharing about romantic love here (go read Songs of Sol), but I think many struggle in knowing what a father's love is all about. In the way we have been brought up, we may not have a clear picture of what a father's love should be. Many in our culture try to earn love with good behavior, do well in exams, strive to compete with our siblings for attention etc..but we hardly know the unconditional love of a father. Many fathers are too preoccupied with their careers and providing material wealth, but do not meet the emotional needs of the family.

My prayer is that Fathers would do their utmost to portray His love, if not we will be a fatherless generation without proper nurture in our growth. May the heart of our heavenly father bring healing to our generation and restore the lives of those who have been wounded so that the image we have of Him will not be marred by our past experiences.. He is love, He is one that loves you unconditionally, one who provides and watches over you continually.

Dear Child,

If anyone wants you to succeed, I do. If anyone is on your side, I AM. There is no one more committed to your happiness than I, and no one even begins to love you like I do. And I want to clarify something. My love for you is more - far more - than a patronizing concern for your welfare. I like you. I enjoy you.

I realized you find all this hard to believe, but I want you to believe it. You'll have to sooner or later, so why not now? I think about you all the time, and I will stop at nothing to remind you of My presence. Haven't you noticed?
