MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY

Harro peoples, some of the things that I have learnt through the years and is still learning...you know, ministry philosophy cannot be learnt through head knowledge but by experience. Through a lot of tears...hehe....but then, it can be passed on to others because you have personally experienced it...so it is not just another teaching etc... :)

· Rejoice in the midst of suffering. He is deepening our lives in Him.
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10)

· It is through waiting patiently that we develop the fruit of long-suffering resulting in the ability to bear with the weaknesses of others; thus becoming less critical and judgmental.

· It is through waiting patiently that we develop Trust in the Lord and our Faith is tested in Him.

· It is through waiting patiently that we die to our own vision and goals in order to attain His goals in His time, His way and In His strength.

· It is through waiting patiently that we come to a place of Rest. Otherwise we strive even in meeting God in prayer.

· It is during times of quietness where seemingly nothing seems to be happening that He is most at work in us to mold and change us.

· Spiritual authority is given by God to those who are humble – who choose to be humble. Never found in our position or our own assertiveness.

· The higher we climb up spiritually the more we need to be servants – even doing menial tasks – for that is Jesus Himself; he came and used a towel to wipe the feet of His disciples.

· Intercessors are not those who can pray well but those who pray effectively, and it comes through a process of cleansing, humbling and breaking.

· The Lord breaks through for us the moment we are able to “Let Go.”

· Busyness does not denote effectiveness. Focus and giving our best in our gifting is.

· Be selective even in friendship – we are either brought closer or further away from God in that investment.

· Be careful when we are tempted to talk too much and give too many opinions; there may be a quiet listener who knows more than you.

· Learn to submit or people after you will not submit to you.

· A title denotes function not position or privilege.

· We learn more by listening than by talking.

· Opposition to a goal or ministry is to test our perseverance and faith in Him to carry on.

· The best method of discipling others is to teach them what we have learnt from life experiences – the successes and the failures.

· At every loss of our own plans or desire; is a step closer to God’s plan and His desires no matter how much pain we may have suffered from that loss.

· See each person as what they can become, everyone is precious In His eyes and God has put them along our path for a reason.

· Fear of man will prove to be a snare but those who trust in the Lord will be kept safe.

· Be faithful in little things.

· Vertical relationship is important; the outflow of it is that we also have strong horizontal relationships.

· Do not put on others “weights” of things we must do as Christians if we ourselves are not willing to do them.

· Be willing to pay the cost to see things happen.

· Creativity is not learnt; it is given and imparted to us as we wait on Him for He is a creative God.

· Don’t try to find things to do or run away, when it is the season to wait.

· Be humble to receive ministry as we seek to minister to others.
