BETTER THAN SACRIFICE
Ever felt why the Lord has not been speaking to you lately? Urhm…could it be that you have conveniently forgotten to obey his last instructions?
Sometimes, what He may ask us to do, may seem trivial or unnecessary..BUT have we obeyed?
I know of times I have just left His instructions at the back of my mind and soon, had forgotten to do what He told me. Times I questioned, and even procrastinated. I am learning that if we want to be led by the Spirit of God in all that we do, simply OBEY at His very word and do it immediately.
I was asking the Lord what I should share in my blog after some time of silence…sorry lah…very busy time with Break Free and Prayer Consultation (9-11 May). I saw my Charles Swindol devotion at my shelf in my room and said “Lord, give me what is in your heart…He said pg 146.” And below was what I read:
Verse – 1 Samuel 15:1,3 and 1 Samuel 15:22,23
“Has the Lord clearly led you to do something and yet you are saying “No” or “Not now”? Maybe you’re trying to bargain with Him, substituting something else in place of His direct advice….WAIT NO LONGER – OBEY!
Is there within you a stubborn spirit that causes you to rebel, argue, and fight back, even though you know it’s against His leading? Perhaps you’ve bragged about your strong will or have cultivated the habit of resistance. REBEL NO MORE – OBEY!
Have you developed the deceitful technique of hiding your disobedience behind the human masks of lies or rationalization? DECEIVE NO FURTHER! – OBEY!
The very best proof of your love for your Lord is obedience ..nothing more, nothing less, nothing else..”

Dear Friends, if our conscience is clear, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive whatever we request because we obey him and to the things that please Him.
