DEEP CALLS TO DEEP

Dearest,

There may be times you are wondering why things are not happening as it should for you. There have been seasons of waiting, seasons of simply not knowing what is coming and what is next. Be assured that it is in these times that I am doing a deep work in you..not seen by human eyes, not understood by man. You are in a time of transition to something new. Believe that I have great plans for you. You are precious and you are the apple of my eye.

Just like a building, when it is under construction, nothing much is seen in the surface initially, but the foundations are laid deep to hold the building. The taller the building, the deeper the foundations. Allow me the time to do that work without you being restless and doubtful. Come to me like a child and know that I am Your Father who wants to see you grow and be effective for my kingdom.

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God..Ps 42:11

p/s Just felt inspired to write this. Hope it speaks to some of you. I believe that God wants depth in us more than charisma..he wants to build in us character through hardship not quick fixes to our problems. Are we allowing God to dig deeper into our lives, where wells of living waters can gush forth? Or are we satisfied with shallow waters, where in times of difficulties, we give up and become confused and troubled? I believe these are the days the Lord is strengthening us for new challenges.

We just had Rev Doug Duncan who holds the office of a prophet speak to us this afternoon that "there will be times of unease, discomfort and unsettling for Malaysia. It is a special time for shepherds and under-shepherds to guard their sheep. We need to be praying for the Shepherds. Matthew 26:31 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered." Malaysia has unique favour, and this is a special time and God is doing a new stirring where waves of His love will flow from north to south of this nation. A new season of harvest and new sweeping of the Holy Spirit."

Be encouraged if God is leading you through tough times now...He is strengthening you to face the challenges ahead. What areas of our lives is He dealing with? What are the areas we have depended on that have created a false sense of security in us? Truly, not our careers or material wealth can hold us in times of shakings. What are we living for? How much time is spent on building material wealth as compared to time spent in allowing God to dig deep in each one of us?

Let us uphold one another that none of us will fall away in difficult times. Surely, we as Christians should have this testimony to share; and that is, we have been strong in God in trying times. It is in these times we know how shallow or how deep we really are in Him. Let’s go deeper and allow Him to dig deep in us...
